HAMBURG, Germany, March 31, 2022 – Sasol Chemicals, a business unit of Sasol Ltd. (JSE: SOL; NYSE: SSL) and Holiferm Limited announced today a partnership to jointly develop new biosurfactants and enable the broad commercialisation of sophorolipids.

Secunda, Mpumalanga – Sasol invites all interested parties to participate in a biogas utilisation Request for Information (RFI) process. The purpose of this RFI process is to provide those who are interested in, or involved in biogas handling technologies, an opportunity to partner with Sasol on biogas beneficiation.

Safety, sustainability and compliance is of the utmost importance to Sasol as a company. Therefore, interested parties will be required to demonstrate a high level of expertise and experience in biogas utilisation technologies.

Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) was R24,3 billion, an increase of 12% compared to the prior period. This performance was underpinned by a strong macroeconomic environment with higher crude oil prices, refining margins and chemicals prices coupled with increased demand, negated by lower production volumes due to operational challenges at our Secunda Operations (SO).
