Pretoria, South Africa -  Full-time artist Mondli Mbhele (28) from Durban, KwaZulu-Natal has been announced as the winner of the 2022 Sasol New Signatures Art Competition. Mbhele walks away with a cash prize of R100 000 and an opportunity to have a solo exhibition at the Pretoria Art Museum in 2023. 

Mbhele won the coveted title for his work titled Iphasi nesiphesheli, which is part of a bigger series titled Umlando uyaziphinda. This is an isiZulu phrase, meaning “history repeats itself”.

Steam created from agricultural waste will help decarbonize chemical production at Brunsbüttel plant

Johannesburg, South Africa – Sasol has launched its Energy Innovation Schools competition aimed at raising awareness on the use of renewable and sustainable energy. Sasol Gas has informed the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) and its customers that the price of piped gas sold to its South African customers will increase to R133,34/GJ. Sasol Gas recognises the impact of the increase in prices on customers, therefore Sasol has not applied the maximum allowable price determined in terms of the 2021 NERSA Maximum Gas price decision.

Manufacturing facilities in Germany, Italy earn ISCC-PLUS certification

Investment in mobility is increasing, not slowing down. Billions of dollars are being spent on researching and developing new technologies, like autonomous driving or the production of carbon neutral fuels for shipping, vehicles and aviation. This increased mobility will result in an increase in carbon emissions if these new technologies are not implemented quickly and if we do not do something fundamentally different.
